Installing MySQL for Windows

1. Double-click on the file called mysql-shareware-3_22_34-win.exe. A dialog box will open, prompting for confirmation to unzip to C:\TEMP.

2. Click on Unzip to extract the temporary files.

3. Under the Start menu, select Run.

4. Browse to C:\TEMP\setup.exe and click on OK. The MySQL Setup program will begin.

5. Read the setup information on the screen, and then click on Next.

6. Read the general MySQL information on the screen, and then click on Next.

7. Select your destination directory C:\mysql\, and then click on Next

8. Select Typical setup, and then click on Next. The installation program will extract and place files on your file system, and the installation program will end.
