About your SCE account

All students and faculty in the School of Science and Computer Engineering are assigned an account on the sce.uhcl.edu domain. This account can used to access SCE workstations and servers.

The SCE account can also be used to login to your accounts page, which displays all of your SCE accounts (DCM Course accounts, web hosting account, ROCKS/Unix account etc) in one place.

To use this account, type

sce\[your_sce_username]

as your username.

Password

For the password, use your sce password. For password help, see the password help page

Note that your SCE account does not have a roaming profile like your pclab account. If you log in to a workstation with your SCE account, files saved in Documents or on the Desktop will not be available after you log off.
