About Your Personal Web Hosting Account

Web hosting accounts are provided free of charge to UHCL students in the SCE department. Students can use their accounts to host personal web pages on the UHCL SCE web server.

If you are a SCE student, you can apply for a free account here.

The server provides services such as ftp and server side scripting for ASP .NET and PHP.

Students are currently limited to a disk quota of 30 Mb. Additional disk space will be allocated upon request.

Web database connectivity using MS Access, MySQL and MS SQL server is also available upon request.

Personal web hosting for students last indefinitely. It is still up to the user to backup their own files in case of a hardware failure on the server.
