Chem 4335 Inorganic Chemistry, Dr. Jack Y. Lu
Honesty Code: The Honesty Code is the university community’s standard
of honesty and is endorsed by all members of the University of Houston-Clear
Lake academic community. It is an essential element of the University’s
academic credibility. It states:
“I will be honest in all my academic activities and will not tolerate
dishonesty.”

This course is designed as an introduction to inorganic chemistry: Concepts
and systems of inorganic chemistry, atomic structure, molecular structure and
chemical bonding, and reactivity of molecules.
Prerequisite Courses: Chem 3230, or Chem 4231, or equivalent
Textbook: Inorganic Chemistry, 4th Edition,
Principles of Structure and Reactivity
By James E. Huheey, Ellen A. Keiter, Richard, L. Keiter
Assignments: Problem sets will be assigned after each chapter or topic. Some problems will be discussed at the beginning of each lecture. Students are encouraged to present answers on the blackboard.
