Getting Started with Personal Web Hosting

To get started with your account, make sure you've completed all tasks on the checklist.

  • Apply for hosting
    NOTE: After applying, students need to visit Ms. Caroline Johnson in Room D161 to be approved for hosting.
  • Have your UHCL account and password
  • Have a computer capable of FTP (Pretty much every computer out there)

Next Steps

1. Connect to your Web Hosting FTP account¹
2. Copy your website files to the "pages" folder in the account you connected to in step 1.
3. Check your home page by visiting

http://sceweb.uhcl.edu/[your_sce_username]
