Internal design diagrams are any class diagrams used to express the internal design of a package.

Additional class diagrams are often required to fully document the internal design of a package.

The internal design of a subsystem may introduce additional dependencies and connections.  These should be added to the appropriate Dependency  and Connection Diagrams (See Standards: Dependencies Diagrams and Standards: Connections Diagrams).

Naming Standard To top of page

The diagram should be given a meaningful name to communicate its narrative purpose.

If the package is a <<utility>> package or an informally modeled <<subsystem>> then the internal design diagram names should be pre-fixed by 'Internal'.
